Register to Vote!

The first step to voting is making sure you’re properly registered to vote. Click below to register online or print an application to return by mail. The deadline to register to vote is October 18, 2022.

3 Ways to Vote:

 

1. Vote by Absentee Ballot

Apply for your ballot between August 16 - November 2, 2022

 

If you are unable to vote in person, be sure to plan ahead. Contact the Marion County Clerk’s Office at (304) 367-5445 to request your absentee ballot, or click the link below. Your completed absentee ballot must be mailed and postmarked by Election Day, November 8, 2022. Hand-delivered absentee ballots must be taken to Marion County Clerk’s Office by November 7, 2022.

2. Vote Early

October 26 - November 5, 2022

 

If you wish to vote in person, but can’t make it on Election Day, please vote early! During early voting, you may vote at various locations in the county. Contact the Marion County Clerk’s Office at (304) 367-5445 to find out your options.

3. Vote In-Person on Election Day

Tuesday, November 8, 2022

6:30AM - 7:30PM

 

All registered voters can vote on Election Day! Even if you requested an absentee ballot and forgot to return it, you can still vote at your polling location by bringing your unmarked absentee ballot with you. If you do not have it, you can still submit a provisional ballot on Election Day. On Election Day, you must vote at your designated polling location. If you have any questions on how to vote, contact the Marion County Clerk’s Office at (304) 367-5445.
